🚍Beep uses its driverless shuttle technology to help in fight of COVID-19. For the first time in the United States, driverless shuttles meant for people are transporting COVID-19 tests instead with no one operating the shuttle inside. Orlando-based company Beep transported the driverless shuttles to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville from their Lake Nona headquarters.
Beep helped create the route that the shuttles will follow as they transport COVID-19 test from a drive-thru collection site on the Mayo Clinic campus to another building on the property. The Mayo Clinic says the use of this technology also frees up staff time that can be dedicated to direct treatment and care for patients. Beep partnered with the Jacksonville Transportation Authority to launch and monitor the route.
✈️ MCO will screen all passengers arriving from the Greater NY area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut) upon arrival. They will have to quarantine or self-isolate for 14 days or the duration of their trip, whichever is shorter.
